Our Wondering Table

In Rata we have a Wondering Table with lots of different 
"things" on it. There is popping corn, jellybeans, cat food, 
glucose syrup, corn on the cob, cornflour, flour, Doritos, 
soup, cornflakes,Cheerios and a few more things.

Our challenge was to work out what was the same about all the things on the table.

Jack said they are all for sale.

Fletcher said they are for
making pies.

Luke W said no one wants them
any more.

Charly said they are all for
making cupcakes.

Trey said they are all yummy.

Harry said they are for
making pancakes.

Carter said they are all corn
 except for the jellybeans.

Luke said some are corn.

Ethan said they are corn things.

Lucy said they all come from
the supermarket.

Kees said people eat them

Alexandra said they are
all different.

Keira said they all come from trees.

We discovered that all the things on our table were made from corn! We thought that was really interesting. 

               

Over the next few weeks we will be looking at 

what makes materials change.

We finally got to go swimming on Friday!
The weather was nice and warm so we went swimming 
after morning tea.
We had 3 super swimming coaches who put us into groups.
Here we are having amazing fun in the pool.

Cupcake Maths on PhotoPeach

At our school assembly Alexandra and Harry got a Welcome 
to School Certificate. It was very exciting learning about all the things that Harry and Alexandra like to do from their buddies.

Well done Trey and Luke! They received a Relating to Others Certificate for getting along with others and being kind and friendly.
