The Wet Royal Visit

What a wet, wet day it was on Wednesday.
Unfortunately that meant we couldn't walk down to the 
Police College to see the royal couple arrive.
Luckily for Harry, Carter and Kees, they did get to wave to them.
Here they are looking very excited....but very wet too!!

 Just a reminder to everyone that we have 
our swimming sports at Tawa Pool on Thursday morning.
We leave by bus at 9.15 so it would be a good idea to get to school a little bit earlier 
to get ourselves organised.
Remember to bring 2 towels, your togs and goggles and a plastic bag for your wet togs. 
You will also need to bring a water bottle and some morning tea. 
Phew!! Lots to remember. 
Most importantly...don't forget to bring your smile!

Every Friday we have MOOT - Managing Our Own Time.
We have a Social Skills focus each week.
This week our focus is Friendship and  we are focussing on taking turns, sharing and including others.
This week Jack, Ethan, Keira, Cathy-Jean and Dylan got a certificate. WELL DONE!

We made toast today at school. 
Our question was: What happens to bread when it is heated?
We used the 5 senses to look at the bread first and then at the toast.
We found out that bread changed when it was heated. 
It changed in 3 ways: from white to brown
                                   from cold to hot
                                   from soft to hard.
