Birthdays Around the World

During our Inquiry Unit about Celebrations, we wanted to
find out how people celebrate birthdays around the world.
We have noticed that birthdays in New Zealand can be the
same as birthdays in other countries. But some things are done differently in other countries.

This is how children celebrate birthdays in Japan.

Here's how people celebrate birthdays in Germany.

How do you celebrate your birthday in New Zealand?
Post a message telling us how you celebrate your birthday!

What's the Time?

Bubble Fun!

Today we had a fantastic time down on the bottom field...
blowing bubbles!
We used a bubble machine that blew lots and lots of
bubbles all around us.
We also had a bubble wand each and had heaps of
fun running around making the most amazing bubbles.
We came back to the classroom to write stories and poems
about our bubbles.

Maths Time

We have been learning about Time. Here we are practising our o’clock times using our own clocks. We had lots of fun.

Photographer of the Day

Harry was our Photographer of the Day and he wrote a story about a bumble bee he saw on Mr Robinson's window this morning.

the    bam bow    bee  is    ciming    up    the         window    for   no      wesin   i   wanda   wi  it    is  doweing   that?       i   thek    it    is     geting       wom   in  the sun.

The bumble bee is climbing up the window for no reason. I wonder why it is doing that? I think it is getting warm in the sun.
